Eb90 003 Professional

EB90–003: Ellis Briggs Professional

A fast frame with a long memory.

The Ellis Briggs Professional wasn’t built for beginners. It was the frame you saved up for. The one you bought when you were ready to go fast and stay fast.

Originally introduced in the 1960s and refined into the 1980s, the Professional was our top-tier race frame. Built from Reynolds tubing, dressed in Nervex Professional lugs, and dialled for no-nonsense club and competition use, it was a badge of pride for riders who knew their stuff.

EB90–003 is a faithful continuation of that legacy — not a replica, but a live thread in the same story.

This exact frame uses one of the few remaining sets of Nervex Pro lugs in the workshop — filed and prepped by hand, just as they would have been 40 years ago. And for the first time, those lugs were shaped not by me, but by Finlay, my 15-year-old son and apprentice — quite possibly the only traditional framebuilding apprentice left in Britain today.

He took his time. He listened. He refined.
Because this work matters.

The result is a frame that sings with lineage and intent. One that honours both where we’ve come from — and where we’re trying to go.
