Eb90 001 San Remo Super Fastback
This frame started it all.
EB90–001 is based on the San Remo Super — a fast, light race frame from the golden years of Ellis Briggs. But this version isn’t just a tribute to the past. It’s a step toward the future.
I’m building 90 frames, one by one, to mark 90 years of Ellis Briggs. But more than that, I’m building them to pass the craft on — to my son, Finlay. He helped decorate the fork crown on this frame, and it’s his name, not mine, that it’s going home with. He’s 15, and just beginning to learn. But if all goes to plan, the 90th frame in this series will be built entirely by his hands.
That’s why the project matters. Not just to celebrate what’s been — but to ensure there’s someone to carry it forward.
Each frame in the EB90 series is inspired by the Ellis Briggs archive. There’s no order queue, no bespoke commissions — just one new design each week, shaped by history but built in the present. Frame 001 is the first. The rest will follow, one story at a time.
This one’s not for sale. It’s a marker. A gift. And a reminder: we don’t just inherit craft — we have to make space to pass it on.
