1991 Ellis Briggs

This 1991 Ellis-Briggs is the perfect candidate for a restoration and modernisation.  For an early 1990s frame its noticeable for its lack of downtube lever bosses and still being drilled for nutted brakes.  However the original customer probably wanted to build the bike up with parts he already had.

This frame is going to be modernised to take a modern wheel, modern allen key brakes and sti levers.  The finish chosen for the respray will be Anthracite which is a very dark mettalic grey.

On another note, if you would like to know if a frame is a genuine Ellis-Briggs, it will have a 4 digit frame number, like in the last photo below.  From that we can tell you the frames original spec, colour and date of manufacturer.
